Meet Teresa

Teresa R. Funke has embodied the modern artist/entrepreneur. She is the owner of Teresa Funke & Company and Victory House Press. She is the award-winning author of seven novels for adults and children based on true stories from WWII, and the author of Bursts of Brilliance for a Creative Life, both the book and the popular blog. (Please note Bursts of Brilliance® is a trademarked term).

Though semi-retired now, Teresa has 35 years of experience as a writer, author, freelance journalist, speaker, presenter, entrepreneur, playwright, performer, and community catalyst. Her innovative programs and boundary pushing talks challenged her audiences to change their view of how life and business should be led.

Teresa believes strongly in supporting local and national non-profits devoted to serving youth, education, and the arts. As a lover of art in all its forms, she has seen over 600 plays, read thousands of books, filled her house with beautiful art, and can sing songs most people have long forgotten. She tries to vacation in a new country or state every year and is the mother of three amazing adults.
